Upgrading your computer memory
Technology » Hardware - 11/03/2008Do you want to upgrade your PC? Does it run too slow? Do you want to install windows vista? The most important thing to upgrade in most cases is the RAM memory.
For example, if you have 512MB RAM and you upgrade to 1 GB, you will see a huge improvement in performance.
That's because you make easier for your operating system to manage your memory. If you don't have enough RAM, your operating system uses a part of the hard disk as RAM (virtual memory). By doing that, it can give to your software all the required memory to run, but there is a problem: your hard disk is much slower than the RAM chip. And that makes your PC run very very slow.
So upgrading your memory is the first step to take when you upgrade your PC. But you must be careful.
Many motherboards are very selective about the memory chips they accept. And in most cases they don't accept two different kinds of chips running the same time (for example 2 chips from different companies).
The best thing to do when you upgrade your RAM is to get the same chips that come with your PC when you bought it. The chips that your manufacture suggests.
One of the best places to go and search for RAM is the MemoryDeal.net.
There you can Get a Deal on Memory at the same quality grade that top OEMs like HP, IBM and Dell specify. All modules purchased from Memory Deal memory modules are the same modules that these computer OEMs use in their bill of materials when construction a new server or computer at the factory.
For sure you can find other places to buy cheaper, but not better quality, and quality is what matters the most. And that's what a real Computer Memory Deal is...
Memory Deal memory sells the latest technology from Samsung, Hynix, Qimonda, Micron, Elpida and Nanya.
I can't thing of anything better for your Computer Memory than using the same RAM modules that your PC manufacturer suggests and uses... Can you?
