How to start your new blog

The web grows every day, many people start their first steps by surfing and exploring this universe. Many of them also want to start posting their own ideas and thoughts. And the most common way to do that in our days is to start a new blog. But how to do it?

The first step is of course to select a platform. There are many platforms to select from, but the most popular is the WordPress. I suggest that always, it's popularity guarantees a big support community for anything you might want in the future.
Now, with wordpress you have two options: wordpress.org and wordpress.com. Actually it's the same thing, the big difference is that wordpress.com provides you a free space to start hosting your blog, while .org gives you the script but you have to install it in another hosting company and maintain it by yourself.
.Com Seems to be ideal for new users, but personally I suggest the second option. It's always better to have control of your own site. And usually if you stay in a free host for sometime, you want to change to a paid one anyway, so why not do it from the start? You will avoid the cost and the difficulty of moving it. You can also optimize your own site and change everything you want from the start. Make it really YOUR site.

(Imagine yourname@yourlastname.com, cool, isnt'it?)
Now we solved the platform and the hosting problem. What remains? Your fantasy! You install your script – or let THC do it automatically for you to avoid loosing time on that, and then... you start posting! Your blog is ready!
